Canned 7/7/21, so just over a month old. Let sit out for about 5 min before opening (~85F) .
Hazy yellow, with one finger of white head, that leaves a 1/4" ring and no lacing. Looks like pineapple juice with a head.
Smells like fresh pineapple juice.
Tastes like a mix of fresh pineapple and grapefruit juice , but carbonated, and maybe a touch drier than that. Just a hit of bitterness that comes in late, and lingers awhile.
Feel is medium, juicy, and initially lightly creamy. Some moderate carbonation bite comes in about mid-taste, and leads to a drier finish.
Overall, an easy-drinking, pleasant surprise. I normally don't like non-sour fruited IPAs, especially ones of the non-citrus stripe, but thoroughly enjoyed this one. That it is drier than most of its brethren helps. The lactose is done with a light touch - I didn't realize it until just now, reading the blurb on the can. All-in-all, very well done. :)
