Common Roots brewed this beer in honor of the Phish benefit in Albany - they played 3 nights at the MVP Arena to raise money for the Divided Sky Foundation. I attended the first night, which commenced shortly after we all learned that Phil Lesh had passed, so the band opened with Box of Rain in a super sweet moment. . . . At the end of the show, perhaps in homage to this release, they played a 3-song encore ending with Tweezer Reprise.

A: Poured from the can into a Fiden's tulip. Body is hazy dark golden. No head at all.

S: Nice nose of pineapple and mango. Touch of pine.

T: Fruit juicy: pineapple, ripe peaches, ripe oranges, and melon. Really good. Finishes with a surprisingly bitter taste - not sure if it's grassy or lemony - or both.

M: Good feel to it, call it medium in heft. Juicy.

O: I like it. NFA just went into GDTRFB. . . .
