On Beer safari in LA county area. This was a great little saison. Thought it poured out a beautiful beer, and while nose was a bit muted the taste was really fruit and brett forward. Mouthfeel was just what I like...soft creamy foam like drink. Reminded me a bit of Tired Hands. Nice funk. Very good sipper.

On tap at Phantom Carriage in Carson, CA.
Pours a murky whitish-orange with a foamy white head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Foamy streaks of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of grain, pineapple, tropical fruit, Brett, and funk aromas. Taste is much the same with pineapple, Brett, and funk flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth and Brett bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a very good beer with a great Brett presence that creates tropical fruit aromas and flavors.
Serving type: on tap.
