We did a few flights so we could try most of the beers. With the exception of the pale ales (disappointing
), they beers were true to style and well brewed.

Came on a busy Saturday night and it's not a party place (little kids and dogs will remove that vibe), but it had a lively vibe and some great 90s tunes on the sound system so no complaints. Enough seating so not a crowding issue, and by my count they have 32 or 34 taps and represent a lot of different styles so can't have an issue trying to find a beer style you like. The beers I had were all pretty good, nothing outstanding but nothing bad, so this is definitely a place to visit (the TVs in corners to catch a game are a nice bonus).

Hiding from reality in Florida for a few with J & D; and wonderful hosts are they to truck me around to places beer, beer, beer, & beer with food, when necessary. Out and about now, one must keep their eyes peeled. Strip mall after strip mall on Alt 19, we almost blew past it but I spied the Red Line (food) truck out front and reeled it in…

‘J’ shaped bar, light wood with a wide lip, crosshatched stainless steel panel base with rounded wood posts along the way, and a wood foot box. Seating for 19 on high top metal blue cushioned chairs. 26 tap row stainless steel panel on the cold room bar back, and 8 more on the side side near the door. Shirts lining above the taps and jerky cornered (Oh, delicious jerky, how I do adore you so), and more lining the windows to the rear offering 7 barrel brew room views.

Shared hightop and a shorty bench in the front windows, another in the front corner of the bar, a shorty around the side, and some bar counter space looking over the brew room. 2 tone dark/lighter blue walls mostly, save the far wall done up in a palm tree mural beach scene. Garage door roll up up front and vertical windows as they do. Woodish tiled floors and drop ceiling. Cased single bulb filaments tracing the bar and adjacent seating. Flatscreens on the opposite walls, some glow rope backed, and brewery stickers pasted above the loo. And then there’s the ‘war room’, which has a single arcade game and a shit ton of board games, none of which I’ve ever heard of except for Connect Four (I won. Where? I can’t… Here, diagonally. Pretty sneaky, sis).

Tap selections are listed on slat wood pieces in 2 rows on the far wall; beer name, style, & ABV, done in alt colored chalk. 17 house beers up just now; I did a sampler of 6 (Lei Mei, Apricot Pale Ale, 5.7%, remember the #9 when she was young?; Pagan Night, Baltic Porter, 9%, inky, beautiful; Back to Cali, West Coast Pale Ale, 6.3%, decent bite, the most hoppy thing about; Berend Brown, North English Brown Ale, 5.5%, malt, smooth, biscuit; Mothra, Bohemian Pils, 5.3%, bite, esters, good Pils; Black IPA, 6.8%, the sweet spot between roast & hop, I like). And then I got into a few more… (Red Solo Cup, Irish Red, 6%, nicely balanced; La Solidarite, Pineapple Saison, 6.5%, saison, yes, pineapple, no; Ozona Rush, Agave Wheat, 7.1%, not so much on the cactus; Pinellas Trail Cream Ale, 5.2%, eh, it’s okay; Belgian Wit, 6.8%, collab with de Bine, coriander, sure; Soul Candy, Milk Stout, 5.8%, chocolate, bitter, sweet, yes). Pagan Night, Berend Brown, Black IPA, & Red Solo Cup were the best of ‘em.

Revisited and found 23 house beers up. We did 2 growls the other night for take away dinner (Drunkin’ Dunkle, Dunkelweizen, 5.6%, a bit hoppy, banananana and clove, nicely done, and The Question, IPA, 6.4%, Chinook, Cascade, Centennial, & Amarillo, it’s not bad, but it’s not awesome, it feels too malt forward). And having returned again on Tuesday for the last hurrah, I drank the Black Eye, Black IPA, 7%, which is the secret beer on and was very nice, I’m glad I asked. And I was dealt samples of the 2 pepper beers, as well. Interesting…

Tunes are good, and we’re talking Asheville at the bar. Super dog friendly. I went through to the rear and was called ‘honey’ by an attractive stranger. Why, thank you. Florida chill. I dig it.
