At under 6% ABV, this sessionable ale has a clean, caramelly nose. Full bodied with a slightly sweet flavor and dry finish, this beer is great for people who aren’t into all those hops!

Poured from 22oz bomber into a tulip.

Appearance: medium amber hue with some hints of orange. Head is a thin finger of compact tan foam with an amber cast. Quite good looking indeed.

Smell: sweet and malty with a pretty big dose of biscuity aroma as well as an earthy hop character. It's stylistically appropriate, though the volume is a bit low.

Taste: caramelly malt, along with hints of vanilla. There's a little less biscuit to the flavor than the aroma would suggest, which is welcome (to me, anyway). A decent Scottish ale.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this beer is a little bit too biscuity to ever really be a favorite of mine, but it's a well-executed example of the style.
