Pours a dark brown color with copper edges and over a finger of head. The nose has definite notes of peanut butter. The flavor also includes peanut butter but, by contrast, lacks a solid roast profile.
The mouth feel is a tad gritty while the body is solidly on-point.

This beer was at Mellow Mink Breweing as a guest pour. Smells better than it tastes and is reminiscent of an over cooked peanut butter cookie. Slightly flat and dry with a light sourness. Tastes like an alcoholic Reese’s Cup and is best drank as a finishing dessert beer.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Has a black color with a 1/2 inch head. Smell is just bursting with peanut butter. Taste is of peanut butter, dark roasted malts, tasty. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall if you like peanut butter, give this beer a try.

Had this one on tap at Golden Crust Pizza, Red Lion PA. First, the nose is exactly as one would expect out of something named "peanut butter porter". Hints of chocolate, creamy peanut butter, and hazelnut. I couldn't wait any longer to get a taste of this so I dove right in!! First impression was Nutty Buddy Bars. Last impression: nutty Buddy Bars. WOW! My taste buds couldnt believe what they were tasting.... so for a more detailed taste, i sipped again... still couldnt believe it... exactly like Nutty Buddy Bars!!! Bravo Molly Pitcher, you have nailed this. Nothing mechanical about the taste. As the beer warms up, the flavor profile only intensifies, and the slight sting at the first sip dissipates. Overall this is a fantastic representation of the style, and I would recommend to any chocolate lover!

Had this on draft at Al's of Hampden on 2-12-16.
Look: Thin tan foam. Dark opaque brown color.
Smell: Peanut butter sandwich. Roasty dark malts. No real hop aroma (a good thing for this beer I think).
Taste: Rich Peanuts/Peanut Butter, followed by dark chocolate. Delicious.
Feel: Nice medium carbonation level and mouthfeel. Sweetish, but just dry enough to invite the next sip instead of being cloying. Great use of peanut butter flavor without trying to turn this into a thick dessert beer.
Overall: This one was a big winner at our table. I don't know if this will be in Molly Pitcher's regular rotation, but if it is, it would probably be worth the drive to Carlisle just for this beer.
