Molly Pitcher Brewing Co. "Peanut Butter & Jelly Porter"
$5/pint on tap at the brewery on 8 September 2019
Notes: Typical porter appearance with a dark-brown/black body beneath an inch of densely foamy tan foam. Very good head retention and lacing despite having peanut butter in it. There's clear peanut butter in the aroma. Jelly and chocolate in the flavor. Gently roasty. The peanut butter returns in the finish. Balanced by a median bitterness of around 40 IBUs. Sweet upfront but just dry enough in the finish. Really nicely balanced between sweet and bitter, and peanut butter and jelly fruitiness. Medium bodied with a moderate carbonation level that leaves it smooth. Quite nice!
