This one pours a dark black color, with a small head, and a bit of lacing.
This smells mostly roasty, but it's a very pleasant and clean - much more akin to Prison City than the syrup city I'd typically get from Other Half. There's a slight toasty coconut note on the nose, but no banana.
I get more banana on the palate here - it's certainly subtle, which honestly works as a refreshing change-up from the typical Other Half adjunct onslaught I was kind of expecting with their partnership here. There's a clean and pleasant roast character, both dark and milk chocolate, and a dusting of toasted coconut.
This is full bodied and very creamy, with a great drinkability and no real booziness to it.
I imagine a lot of pastryheads won't really enjoy this one, but it works for me just fine.
