Pours a vibrant amber-golden color, with a spongy, big white head.
Smells of honey coated, juicy lime with anise, cardamon and clove. This gets balanced by slightly sour yeast and supportive exotic fruits. Has a rich wheat foundation underneath, blending well into yeast and spices, producing a very intense nose.
Has a very bubbly carbonation, coated up by profound spices and a smooth mouthfeel, combining easy drinkability with a satisfying, versatile depth.
From the very beginning, its bubbly carbonation is very noteable, creating an interesting contrast to warmer spices, accentuated by wheat, smooth yeast and lime peel. While the beer remains focussed on its spiciness, the carbonation almost turns a tad too omnipresent by being over the top, revealing a harsh feature, as it overcomes the balancing yeast, somehow compensated by rock sugar. Finishes more on an aqueous quality, after the carbonation dies down, while the beers wheat qualities step up to take its place. The spice punch still is that present, that it adds a strange copper anise mixture to the lively bubbles during the aftertaste.
This got great potential, while it is a little over the top, as for its distinct spiciness and overly present carbonation, distracting from the beers wonderful wheat profile, enriched by its sleek yeast.
