Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden color with a billowy white head. The head fades rather quickly leaving a trace of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is strongest of a bready smell mixed with just a little bit of a caramel sweetness. Along with these aromas comes some other smells of a light citrus and grass and a little bit of a floral smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready and light caramel and light (apple, pear and peach) fruit sweetened taste. These flavors persist throughout the taste and create a rather nice base flavor for the brew. As the taste advances a light yeastiness and some hop of a citrus and herbal nature come to the tongue. With a hint of a graininess and some floral notes coming at the very end, one is left with rather balanced and easy drinking pale flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the average side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. For the pale ale style the feel is quite right and makes for a more refreshing and crisp drinker overall.
Overall – A rather easy drinking and fairly balanced and flavorful pale ale. Not a bad one to try if you get a chance.
