Brewed at the close of winter in conjunction with the annual Pinhead Classic telemark event. This Bohemian lager has a crisp body, straw color and a refreshing finish. Dry hopped with 1 lb. per barrel of Czech Saaz for a mild, herbal aroma.

I shanked a can of this beer whilst visiting my wife's boss' vacation home in Bozeman, Montana. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had common czech pilsner notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base and Czech grain and pils presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Poured from can into a pint glass

Appearance- The beer pours a golden amber color with a one finger head of pure white foam. The head has a fair level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a decent sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.

Smell – Overall the smell is rather light with it consisting mostly of a bready and slightly grainy smell mixed with a little bit of fruit and citrus hop.

Taste – The taste begins with a rather bready taste mixed with a little bit of a fruity flavor of some light citrus notes. As the taste advances the sweeter citrus fades ever so slightly all while having some hop flavors of grapefruit and a little bit of a grassy flavor taking the loss of the sweeter citrus’s place. In the end, a moderately crisp and fairly easy drinking flavor is left to linger on the tongue.

Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is rather light with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the pilsner style the feel is quite appropriate and makes for a more easy drinking and crisp tasting brew.

Overall - A decent brew, but nothing all that spectacular. A nice one to maybe session with or to give at least one try to, but nothing to pine over.
