Our tribute to Montana's harvest season; this Oktoberfest style lager has a deep reddish-orange hue, medium body and a rich, toasted malt aroma. A blend of Germanic hops balances this beer for and impeccable finish. Prost!

Light head leaves very little lace. It's a very clear and more medium light brown than amber.
It's very malty and has a rather robust complimentary hop profile. The hops sweetness comes thru first followed by general malty sweet drop biscuit flavors.
Fairly thick for the style, I'm guessing due to the hops. So it is not quite as sessionable as expected for the style.
Overall good but not great.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a rather deep amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a decent level of retention, fading over time to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is heaviest of a caramel malt smell mixed with a good sum of breadiness. Along with these aromas a bit of a hoppy smell, with the hop being a mix of citrus and pine and a nice showing of some toasted malt smells as well.
Taste – The taste begins very malty and bready with a moderate showing of a caramel sweetness with a lighter level of roast. The roast grows stronger in nature as the taste moves on, but never gets too heavy, with it always lagging far behind the bready and caramel taste. Toward the end, some hop flavors of a earthy nature and a light citrus join the tongue, leaving one with a rather malt heavy and lightly hopped taste to linger.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is very thick for a 6.5 % brew with a carbonation level that is a bit on the lower side. This combination creates a mouth coating feel which is rather nice for the big bready tastes of the brew.
Overall- This one is big and bready creating very malt heavy oktoberfest. This is certainly not a crisp lager here, but instead is a flavorful and very chewy beer for 6.5 %.
