Poured from can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden amber color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retension, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is light overall, but has some notes of a bready, grainy, and light yeasty smells. Along with these aromas are some notes of caramel and a bit of light fruitiness.
Taste – The taste begins with a somewhat bready and light wheat taste upfront with some hints of caramel and yeast. These tastes create a base flavor for the brew and last throughout. All the while, more sweetness comes to the tongue with more caramel and fruit, with some more graininess and a bit of herb also arrive, leaving one with a rather easy and flavorful taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is on the slightly higher side. For the golden ale style, the feel is great and makes for a very easy drinking beer overall.
Overall- A decently flavorful and easy drinking brew. Nothing too special, but good drinking none the less.
