Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazed golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading over time to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strongest of a slightly grainy and bready smell that has some nice notes of yeast and spice. Along with these smells comes some aromas of light fruits of peach and pear as well as some smells of grass and hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready taste with a little bit of wheat and some nice yeasty flavors. As the taste advances more spice of coriander and clove come to the tongue all while some light banana and light fruit tastes of apricot and peach come as well. Toward the end some grass and hay come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather clean blonde ale taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew was slightly more chewy with a carbonation level that was average. A little thinner of a body may have made it slightly easier drinking, but overall the feel was alright.
Overall – An OK blonde, but nothing too exceptional. Easy drinking and a good one to try when doing a session style brew.
