Served on tap in a snifter glass
Appearance – The beer is served a hazy pink color with a one finger head of fizzy white foam. The head fades very fast to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the brew is huge of a sour green apple smell as well as lots of plum and tart cherry. Along with these smells comes some notes of apple cider vinegar and a bit of grass and hay.
Taste – The taste begins with a tart green apple taste with a lot of apple cider vinegar. There is also a rather decent plum and dark fruit taste right at the start which get stronger and stronger as the taste moves forward. At the end some sour lemon and hay as well as a bit of grass come to the tongue, leaving one with a rather sour plum taste on the palate.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is on the average to slightly thinner side with a carbonation level that is a little on the higher side. For the sour flavors the thinner body was fantastic all while the carbonation level kept the tastes very lively.
Overall – A rather decent sour with a nice tart and sour apple taste that is blended well with some darker fruit tastes.
