neat seasonal transition beer and a quality, if extremely light vienna lager. i think sometimes these guys look a little old school and dad beer when it comes to branding and packing, but the truth is they do wonderful, and timeless and contemporary beers, and i think they sometimes dont get a fair shake unless you know, like this is objectively excellent and cool to present it as a late winter early spring beer, lighter on the malt side and way less sweet than a lot of these, which lends to the kind of drinkability i am ready for by the time spring hits, especially up here. lighter than amber, pale copper even, frothy headed from the tap at the source. lightly nutty and european in the nose, i can smell the lager yeast too, but its not as outwardly malty as most. clean and mineral forward, bready, dry. the flavor is about the same, a hint of honey and toffee but more baked than sugary. its simple in a good way, effervescent, even refreshing for the style, and the flavor increases in boldness as it sits and warms but it stays mild overall. solid execution, nice take on a vienna, their lager game is underrated here. this is a hard style for me to get way excited about, but they nailed this...
