Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance- The beer is served a clear golden color with a one finger head of white foam. The head fades fast leaving a light level of foamy lace on the sides of glass.
Smell - The aroma is light with notes of herbal and earthy hop mixed with a bit of grain and a touch of hay.
Taste- The taste begins with a bread and light grain mixed with herb and earth. The sweet is light with a touch of caramel. As the taste advances the caramel fades while the earth gets stronger leaving one with a moderate malty and more earthy/ herbal to taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel- The body is thick for the abv with a moderate carbonation level.
Overall - A decent non citrusy IPA. Nothing too special, but good none the less.

Taster at brewery. Hazy golden pour, small foamy head. Light grassy aroma, hay, meadow. A bit of hops come through in the taste, citrus, zesty. Very light

a newer one from these guys, brewed to celebrate an environmental award they won, which is pretty awesome in such a resource intensive industry, nice job guys, keep it up! the beer is pretty straightforward, although apparently crafted to reduce gluten, it certainly doesnt taste or feel like its missing anything to me. its a brassy colored beer with a tall white head from the tap and a pretty pungently hoppy nose, hazy, driven by massive zested grapefruit notes, but not unbalanced, fresh enough and appealing in its simplicity. the flavor is good, very classically west coast to me despite the look, with all the goodness of a big dry hopping with northwestern hops, but also with some punchy bitterness, almost old school now that everything has gone in the juicy direction, but i still like some bite to my ipa, and this one delivers it. i get grapefruit and orange peel, a little pine, and a lot of high alpha bitterness running through the whole thing, not just at the end. some biscuity and even toasted notes to the grain, and some body too, whatever gluten reduction has happened here hasnt thinned this out any. peppy and fresh in the finish, good balance and lots of flavor for being relatively familiar from an ingredient standpoint. not amazing, but drinkable and good, and its awesome they are taking some environmental action as well, which is definitely worth celebrating with a few sturdy ipas!
