Very dark brown body with small milky white head and a whole lot of lacing.

Flavors are herbal - not medicinal - with some cola notes. There's solid, toasty roasty malt that avoids being sweet or chocolatey.

Carbonation is light medium, and quite nice.

Overall a great lager.

Served on tap in a pint glass
Appearance-The beer is served a deep brown color with a one finger head of off white foam. The head has a good level of retention, fading slowly over time to leave a good sum of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell- The aroma of the brew is strongest of a roasted malt smell mixed with a little bit of chocolate and caramel. Along with these aromas comes a touch of toast and char.
Taste – The taste begins with a moderately roasty taste that has a good showing of molasses and caramel sweetness. Along with these tastes comes some notes of a very light herbal hop. As the taste advances the roast gets a touch stronger and the caramel and molasses fade. A tiny bit of pine comes at the end and leave one with a rather roasty, and slightly sweet, but crisper taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the brew is actually somewhat thinner and more crisp with a carbonation level that is rather average. For the mix of tastes the feel is rather well done and makes for an easy but flavorful sipper.
Overall – A pretty nice dark lager overall. It has a good blend of roast and sweet all while maintaining a great easy drinking nature.
