Brewed in collaboration with Modern Times Beer
A: Straw-coloured, and cloudy with a couple fingers of fluffy white head.
S: Tropical fruit, a hint of funky yeast.
T: Tangy. Not a traditional saison - this has Lactobacillus in addition to Brett and more typical yeast for the style. The description on the bottle says pineapple, lemon, and lychee, and I have to agree... although who knows if I would have come up with those notes without reading the back. I notice the lychee first, then the lemon. Just a little bit of lingering bitterness.
F: Crisp.
