32 ounce growler
Served in a tulip glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber color with burnt orange highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves a little lacing.
The smell starts out with butterscotch and citrus. Then I get some toasted malt. It seems pretty well balanced.
The taste begins citrusy. I get some malt through the middle. The finish is bitter and lingers.
Medium mouthfeel
This was recommended to me by a couple of people. I don't know if this sat in the keg too long or always tasted like this, but I am not impressed and wish I had my $9.50 back. I should have tried a pour first. It is too malty and bitter for my palate.
