Pretty intrigued by this one. I’ve been wanting to try some Abnormal stuff and Alpine made it a slam dunk. Hoping for something in the 4.00 range.

Poured a golden, pale, clear color with two fingers of frothy, white head when I got it. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good layered foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Good retention on the top all the way down. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled Citra hops, tropical notes, Waimea hops, tangerine, faint grapefruit and light pineapple. Not that potent overall. (Smell - 3.75)

Taste followed the nose. Very light drinking beer. Citra hops, Waimea hops, reminding me of Kona Golden Ale I think, pineapple, tropical, some stone passion fruit, pulpy and some spicy rye late. (Taste - 3.75)

Light body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt, crisp finish. (Feel - 4.25)

This was a good beer, but not great for the style. I’d have it again though. (Overall - 3.75)

On tap at Bottlecraft on India St. They describe this as a "wheated rye pale ale." It's a crisp, golden brew with long-lasting foam on the tall tulip.

Delicious passion fruit hop taste with the spicy rye finish. Light body and supremely drinkable. Just bitter enough with so much hop flavor, yet so restrained. One of the tastiest Pale Ales I've had in 2015. All of a sudden I'm going to be looking for Abnormal beers.
