Our Double Hazy IPA gets a little restless. Luckily we have enough hops to keep this beer satisfied and satisfying. A substantial amount of body and malty sweetness are present to support the higher ABV and enormous dry hop. Expect to see an exciting new combination of classic, new-school, and/or experimental hops in every batch with the occasional repeat of some favorites.

Grabbed this on a recent stop at La Mesa Wine & Spirits, one of four cans I picked up at the time. Thought I had tried this before, at least on Untappd, but nope. EDIT: Yes I had, giving batch 4 (Mosaic, Simcoe & Idaho 7) a 4.0 on Untappd on Jan. 5, 2018. Gave a can (he checked into basic Turbidity) to Adam back in April 2018, who wrote, “Other than Alpine Nelson, that's the best beer (my name) ever muled to me. Highest of #haze.” Can description read, “Our Double Hazy IPA gets a little restless. Luckily we have enough hops to keep this beer satisfied and satisfying. A substantial amount of body and malty sweetness are present to support the higher ABV and enormous dry hop. Expect to see an exciting new combination of classic, new-school, and/or experimental hops in every batch with the occasional repeat of some favorites.” Batch 7 here called for Citra, Simcoe & Idaho 7. That’s two great hops and Idaho 7. Was looking forward to it.

Poured an amber clear color with two fingers of frothy off-white head. Not really too turbid. Lots of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass at different speeds. Bad watery lacing. Bad retention. (Sight - 3.00)

Smelled Simcoe up front. Also Citra, cat litter, papaya, nectarine, peach, dank pine, woody notes, grapefruit rind, garlic, guava and pineapple. Citra and Simcoe dominated from the can with guava, mango and peach coming in strong. (Smell - 4.25)

Taste was just as good. No hiding that 8.5 pct. ABV. Got spicy Simcoe, Citra, papaya, nectarine, peach skin, dank woody pine, Idaho 7, guava, mango, pineapple, red grapefruit rind and garlic. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)

This was just a great beer. Turbidity might not be the best name for it. This had the look of a West Coast IPA and the taste of a juicy hazy IPA. Excellent though. (Overall - 4.25)
