Carry on my yeastward sun…
We will drink ‘til you are gone.
Lay your hoppy head to rest,
Don’t you cryo more!

Here we have another juicy and boozy IPA for you. This little beaut kept a simple hop bill, but we carried on to double dry-hop it… once at the end of fermentation and once again after the crash.

Like our past Hazy Double IPAs this one is smooth and easy to drink so heed caution, but expect to crave more sips from the splendor of hops. Cheers!

Picked this up with four other singles and a Modern Times 4-pack at Windmill Farms. This was the first time I had seen this beer in stores, let a lone heard of it. Back of the can read, “Carry on my yeastward sun… We will drink ‘til you are gone. Lay your hoppy head to rest, Don’t you cryo more! Here we have another juicy and boozy IPA for you. Poured a gold hazy color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see some light bubbles creeping up along the sides of the glass. Excellent layered lacing. Excellent retention. (Sight - 4.50)

Smelled Mosaic, Simcoe, floral, mango, papaya, pine, grapefruit, blueberry, herbal, black pepper and passion fruit. So much more hop flavor from the can, getting big time cryo notes from both Simcoe and Mosaic. (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted just as good as the nose. In order got Simcoe, papaya, cat piss, onion, garlic, Mosaic, floral, mango, grapefruit, herbal, passion fruit, pine and lingering black pepper. Did not taste 9.3 pct. (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Damn. This was really good. Was really digging those cryo hops. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)

Canned 11/19/19. Pours a dark gold haze with minimal head and asymmetrical lacing. Aroma is faint ripe stone fruit. Tastes of ripe peaches, finishes slightly dry with no hop or booze burn. Not as sweet as expected for the ABV. Feel is surprisingly light. Alcohol well-hidden in this dangerously drinkable near-TIPA.

Outstanding new imperial IPA made by a great California brewery. Pours a slightly hazy yellow-golden color with some white foamy head and glorious sheets of lingering lacing that lasted forever. Smells of some bitter citrus zest hops, mainly grapefruit, pineapple, lemon and orange. Also some very nice aromas of floral hops, caramel, malt, vanilla and a touch of piney hops. Taste follows the nose, and the bitter hoppiness is so well-balanced with the sweeter malt backbone. Lots of floral hoppy notes in both the aftertaste and later aromas as the beer warmed. Smooth, mild, slightly creamy mouthfeel that coats the palate. Great carbonation. The higher ABV isn’t that noticeable and this beer just goes down so smoothly and easily. A delicious beer, one from an always-solid brewery. And I am happy to be the first one to add this to this website.
