Was excited to see this on tap after a quick stop home from golf and before I started working from their brewery. Had given M3 - Barrel Aged a 4.70 on Beer Advocate on April 20, 2020 (posted May 1). Had this after a flight. Abnormal’s page description read, “Aged in Woodford Reserve and Turkey Diamond bourbon barrels. Brewed with pecans, cinnamon, vanilla and Mostra coffee.”

Poured a pitch black color with one finger of khaki-tan frothy head when I got it. Could see a few bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Outstanding spotty lacing. Outstanding retention. (Sight - 4.00)

Smelled cinnamon, vanilla, cinnamon swirl danish with vanilla frosting, pecan, oaky barrels, smooth bourbon, black coffee, cacao and milk chocolate syrup. (Smell - 4.50)

Tasted similar to the nose. In order got cinnamon, vanilla, cinnamon swirl danish with vanilla frosting, pecan, caramel, milk chocolate syrup, smooth bourbon, black coffee, cacao, molasses, black licorice and anise. (Taste - 4.50)

Full body. Sticky texture. Average carbonation. Long, warming finish. (Feel - 4.50)

Just a terrific barrel-aged Abnormal beer. Glad I got to try it. (Overall - 4.50)
