You’ve been a Boss, now it’s time to reach Executive status. We added one of our new favorite hops, Sabro, to pack a tropical punch alongside Mosaic and Citra. Simcoe comes through last to provide a dank finish. While this beer may not come with a dedicated parking spot, it'll give you the confidence to start requiring coversheets on your TPS reports.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American Imperial / Double IPA
Glass: Pure Project 16-oz. brandy snifter glass
Price: $4.29
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: Nov. 2, 2020
Consumed: Nov. 5, 2020
Misc.: Canned on Oct. 13, 2020
Was psyched to see this in stores. Gave Boss Pour a 4.14 back on April 4, 2018 and this is basically a bigger version of it along with Sabro. Their website called this beer, “You’ve been a Boss, now it’s time to reach Executive status. We added one of our new favorite hops, Sabro, to pack a tropical punch alongside Mosaic and Citra. Poured a light amber clear color with three fingers of frothy off-white head. Lots of fast-moving bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass and slowly creeping up along the sides of the glass. Perfect spiderweb foamy lacing. World-class foamy retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled more Simcoe than any other hop, followed by Nugget and Citra. That was the first thought anyway though. Also cat piss, onion, black pepper, woody pine, wet grass, grapefruit peel and tangerine rind. Even better out of the can with more Mosaic. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Simcoe, cat piss, onion, black peppery spice, woody pine, Nugget, Citra, red grapefruit peel, wet grass, tangerine rind, Cascade and Mosaic. Was not getting much Sabro except for some cedar notes. Grew on me as it went down. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
Damn. Really loved this beer. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)
