We wanted to celebrate the ingenuity from the incredibly talented people at Washington State University that developed the barley we used in this pale lager. Fritz barley was engineered to reduce the need for clarifying agents to produce a clearer beer - perfect for brewing lagers. Faber's Mosaic has a light crisp body that is accentuated by our addition of both Mosaic and Cryo Mosaic which bring intense berry-forward aromatics. This is the IPA drinkers Lager

Headed over to Windmill Farms to look for some new North Park ones. Was out of luck there but did come away with eight other cans. Description from Abnormal’s website was “We wanted to celebrate the ingenuity from the incredibly talented people at Washington State University that developed the barley we used in this pale lager. Poured a medium yellow clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see just a few bubbles slowly coming up from the bottom of the glass. Very good lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Smelled Mosaic, dank pine, resin, skunk, earthy malt, grain, mixed berry, mango, floral and bitter tangerine rind. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got Mosaic, dank resin, pine, skunk, earthy malt, grain, dry grass, mixed berry, mango, bitter tangerine rind and floral. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Lively carbonation. Abrupt, dry, skunky finish. (Feel - 4.25)
A damn nice lager. Nowhere as good as North Park’s Party Cup or Burgeon’s Carlsbad Crush (different style), but still outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)

Labeled a 'hoppy lager,' so I figured IPL is the closest style. It hits the expected notes: crisp & bright, with Mosaic's characteristic berry aromatics and residual zing.
