Anyone else excited for the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena unclassified report?! This Hybrid IPA tows the line between fact and fiction, landing somewhere between a Hazy and a West Coast IPA. We combined techniques from both styles and while we could go into more detail on how this Hybrid IPA is made, that information is still classified. Share this beer over talks of conspiracy theories with your fellow truth seekers.

Type: 16-oz. can
Reviewed as: American IPA
Glass: Pure Project 14-oz. Teku glass
Price: $3.69
From: Windmill Farms in Del Cerro (San Diego), Calif.
Purchased: July 11, 2021
Consumed: Aug. 7, 2021
Misc.: Canned on June 25, 2021
Grabbed a can of this and some other stuff while looking for some North Park cans at Windmill Farms. Abnormal’s website called it “Anyone else excited for the Unidentified Aerial Phenomena unclassified report?! We haven't been this pumped since the return of Mulder and Scully! This Hybrid IPA tows the line between fact and fiction, landing somewhere between a Hazy and a West Coast IPA. We combined techniques from both styles and while we could go into more detail on how this Hybrid IPA is made, that information is still classified. Share this beer over talks of conspiracy theories with your fellow truth seekers.” Lots of hops mentioned, including Nugget, Columbus, Cryo Cascade, Cryo Ekuanot, Eureka and Idaho 7.
Poured a light amber clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see plenty of bubble streams coming up the sides of the glass. Excellent foamy lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.25)
Smelled dank resin, weed, pine, skunk, wood, Nugget, Columbus, vegetable, herbal, lemon peel, red grapefruit and papaya. Even better out of the can. Smells like a dank West Coast IPA. (Smell - 4.00)
Tasted just as good as the nose. In order got dank resin, skunky weed, pine, wood, Nugget, black pepper, bitter aspirin, Columbus, vegetable, herbal, lemon peel, Cascade, red grapefruit, papaya and hints of Idaho 7. (Taste - 4.00)
Medium body. Oily texture. Average carbonation. Long, bitter finish. (Feel - 4.50)
I think I slightly underrated this on the smell and taste, but this was at least outstanding. (Overall - 4.00)
