Went over to Windmill Farms from work and ended up once again spending way too much on beer. Abnormal’s website called this “A giant, hop-filled double IPA?! As you wish!!!! It may seem inconceivable, but believe us, this triple-dry hopped double IPA features Mosaic, Citra, Nugget, Columbus and Idaho 7 in all forms. Be warned, you may feel like a gentle giant after consumption. Warning: Consuming 156 beers in one sitting is dangerous…we do not condone it. Rhyme Responsibly.”
Poured a medium golden semi-hazy color with two fingers of fizzy off-white head. Could see some bubbles rising up the sides of the glass. Outstanding spotty watery lacing. Very good retention. (Sight - 4.00)
Liked the nose on this. Super dank. Got dank resin, weed, pine, herbal, Nugget, Columbus, wet grass, red grapefruit rind, Mosaic, floral and mixed red berry. Just as good from the can. (Smell - 4.25)
Tasted almost as good as the nose. In order got dank resin, weed, pine, herbal, lime, Nugget, Columbus, wet grass, chewy caramel, red grapefruit rind, Mosaic, mixed red berry and passion fruit. Pretty smooth for 8.6 pct. ABV. (Taste - 4.25)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, chewy finish. (Feel - 4.25)
Damn. This was awesome for a West Coast DIPA. Abnormal is so good. (Overall - 4.50)
