In modern times, we celebrate lavender for both its antibacterial properties and its ability to relieve stress and depression. At Outer Light Brewing Company, we used it in our first experimental batch, Royal Sea Saison. What better way to welcome springtime and extended light (and life!) than with a beer designed to help you relax? Taste the light touch of honey, the fruity flavor of Triskel hops, the cloves and plums from Belgian yeast, all blended beautifully to accentuate the power of our lavender bouquet.

Fluffy head, settles in a rocky fashion slowly. Leaves streaks of lace on the glass. Dark, dirty gold color. A bit hazy.
Super strong lavender aroma--very
Strong pear and semi-sweet pale grain. The swallow brings back the lavender, which tastes slightly harsh and a bit perfumy, like a soap. Very unusual--worthwhile to seek out just to try something completely different.

This is exactly as advertised: a lavender saison. Beautiful brew; intensely aromatic and loaded with lavender and spice that quickly builds up and lasts forever.
