12oz white can packaged on 2/21/22
poured into dimpled mug.
Appearance: translucent gold bodied Pilsner with massive bone white head. Thick lacing sticking everywhere possible. Head has good staying power as well.
Smell: corn tortilla malt sweetness with a hint of lemony hops.
Taste: Light corn and grain sweetness. Fruity lager yeast. Lemon zest and spicy hop finish. This one has a bit more hop bitterness backing this Pilsner on the finish. It has a heftier taste and profile about this Pilsner than your usual Live Oak crispy lager would.
Mouthfeel: Light to medium bodied Pilsner with moderate carbonation levels. This remains clean. Still has some crispy to it, but it's hefty flavors decrease the drinkability.
Overall: Noticable heftier than the other two white label Pilsner cans recently released by Live Oak / Fair state brewing Cooperative.

"An All-American pilsner brewed with North Star malt and Oregon crystal whole cone hops. Our friends at Fair State came down south to Del Valle to brew Pils Del Norte. Taste the flavors of the north, delicate malt and citrus peel herbs, in this domestic-grown pils."
12 fl oz can from the brewery (purchased today at the taproom):
More an all malt lager than a proper pilsner in my view. Crystal hops fail to imbue any overt woodsiness, unfortunately. Malts bring notes of grains of paradise, spice, and faint lemon peel.
Balanced and refreshing with a crisp yet dry mouthfeel.
Not my favourite Live Oak effort, but it's a quenching lager with European leanings.
