Had this beer from tap at the brewery. Poured into a tall half pint glass. Very clear light yellow color with great fluffy white head and nice curtain lacing. Slightly sweet grassy smell and taste. Pleasantly light and refreshing beer. Excellent for a summer evening.

12oz white can packaged on 04.21.22
poured into dimpled mug.
Appearance: (side note: I poured this beer really hard and it looks like a milk pour) translucent pale straw yellow body with massive bone white foam. Thick lacing sticking everywhere possible. Head has good staying power as well.
Smell: Sweet corn and grain malt profile. not much to speak of as far as hops go. A delicious smelling malt forward pilsner.
Taste: Grainy, lightly sweet, and "tangy" lager. Finishes with a very light spice note and an incredibly pleasant light floral hop note that lingers on for a while.
Mouthfeel: Light bodied Pilsner with moderate carbonation levels. Softly textured Pilsner with a light dry finish. It's also the definition of crushable.
Overall: Another interestingly named Live Oak Pilsner from this recent release of white cans with no actual label just the name stamped on the bottom of the can. It's minimalist and it is just fine by me. This is definitely a lager for the summer. No surprise it came from Texas, no less surprised that it's origins are from Live Oak. Another tasty lager from Live Oak that I appreciate the opportunity to try.

"Our 25th anniversary party pils collaboration with ABGB. A whole cone Saaz pilsner with Czech pils malt. A Texas-style pilsner brewed by the OGs. Here's to 25 more." -Live Oak's website.
12 fl oz pull-tab can. $12 USD plus tax per sixer @ Live Oak. 3.9% ABV. Packaged 04/21/22. Can is unlabelled but the beer's name is printed as a code on its bottom.
Clean drinking with a subtle minerality probably from the soft water used. Not as crisply carbonated as many pilsners, but just as refreshing. Saaz's subtle spiciness is wonderfully well showcased, and shows up in spades on the back end, lingering into the finish. '
Light-bodied but not a weak or thin lager. Slightly dry.
I do think they could dial in the attenuation a bit better; this drinks a biteen sweet for a mere 3.9% ABV pilsner. Acidity is on the high side, too...I have to wonder if they went too big on the acidulated malt for this one (which is probably what gave this 3.9% lager the body it has). Acidulated malt lends this a noticeable tang I wouldn't characterize as an off-flavour per se, but it does feel so overt as to be unwelcome.
Not Live Oak's best pilsner, but it's highly drinkable despite seeming more like an experimental attempt at a low ABV Summer sipper than a true expression of a Czech pilsner.
