This was another beer that I picked up at Kinkaider when I was out in Lincoln, Nebraska not too long ago as I was intrigued by the flavor and it's lofty rating on here. Indeed, this was as much a Sour or Wile Ale as it was a Fruit and Field beer, because of how lively and tart it was. Can't say that I ever had anything like this before, let along anything with snozzberry in it!
Loved the lavender and hibiscus hue to this as I've never seen a beer with this color to it before! Lots of exotic snozzberry, blueberry patch, and funk in the nose as some acetate, wood, tartness, and hint of Sweet Malt came through on the palate. Quite refreshing and new at the same time, this was indeed a palate cleanser with a nice tartness and wildness to it that was plenty full and nicely carbonated at the same time. The head was fine but there wasn't any lacing to be seen, as the suds could have lasted a bit longer.
The ABV% listed on the can was 5.0% and not the 5.9% posted on here as it would have been easy to quaff a few of these in a sitting. Dated 9/14 on the bottom of the can, this had plenty of fruit but felt like something outdoors that took me back to sunny days out west with the top down, driving through endless fields. Lots of cherry limeade in the aftertaste as this was subtly complex and left me wanting more!

Pours a clear gold color. 1/2 inch head of an off-white color. Decent retention and slight lacing. Smells of strong fruit, pale malt, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of alcohol. Fits the style of an American Wild Ale, but more aptly fits into the Fruit and Field Beer style. Mouth feel is sharp and clean, with an average carbonation level. There is also a slight tartness. Tastes of strong fruit, pale malt, hint of sweet malt, and a hint of alcohol. Overall, light-bodied, lacking the distinction of an American Wild Ale, but still rather tasty.

Blueberry and raspberry sweetness with sour after. A good beer to smash after yard work but to sweet to have more than 1 or 2

this was a tricky one to add, i was half tempted to call it an american wild ale, although i am quite sure this is all soured on the front end in a kettle souring type process, thus not actually "wild", so i listed it as fruit beer to be safe. whatever we end up calling it though, the beer is amazing. gorgeous soft lavender purplish pink color with a soapy sudsy white head on it and a fine aroma of generic berry sweetness, clean and lemony lacto sourness, and and almost red winey character, more complex than a lot of these. not sure what fruits they used to develop the "snozzberry" flavor, but i would think cherry and raspberry, it also has notes of plum and red purple grape, its only a little sweet though, really nicely compiled whatever they used. i get some red wine late on this, a very clean and well refined bacterial sourness that isnt over the top but adds a great refreshing lip smacking pucker to it, along with a little lemon zest flavor and feel. nice carbonation, a good body for the style, and a far better fruited front end sour than is common these days. i really dug this one, and was impressed in limited exposure to kinkaider this weekend!
