Pours misty orange, a brownish tint, small white head that soon becomes just a poor thin lace.
Smells rather nice, fruity, almost bubblegum (apple, pear, banana, faint white grape, faint apricot), herbs, a small floral whiff, cream, hay, clove.
Wow, what a surprising first sip! Or should i say bite?! Juicy yellow apple right in your face, rich and slightly acidic. There's pear, faint Chinese plum, light citrus, faint wild berry, green banana and musty white grapes. Some white bread and lots of spices follow, with big clove, coriander and fainter herbs, like lemongrass and peppermint. Some sweet flower petals, perfumey in the end with some bitter hop and a bit of alcohol warmth.
Aftertaste is rich and fruity, spicy, a really long finish, and there's that great "renewed" apple bite with each new sip. Medium body, medium carbonation. Some booze tho.
A truly refreshing and tasty saison. Might just come as a surprise after the weaker Xaver IPA and Pale Ale, but i'm really trying to be unbiased here. Really nice.
