On tap at Strummers
A: Pours dark brown with a frothy tan head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Dark fruit, mild roasted malt, a bit smokey, and a hint of citrus.
T: Dark fruit up front, plum, raisin, cherry, a light roasty malt, a bit smokey, a little spicy, and some grainy/crackery malt
M: Light body, moderate carbonation, very easy drinker.
O: This one looks the part, but the flavor isn't quite there. It could use a stronger saison yeasty presence, a bit more spice, maybe some mild funk. As it sits it drinks like a schwarzbier, but it is drinkable.
