Dated 12/18/15 so this must be the stuff. Its 11.2% and described as "Imperial stout aged in Bourbon whiskey barrels." Near black in color with a dark foam in the Piraat tulip. Unctuous and fiery on the tongue.

This has more of a scent of Bourbon than flavor. Taste is actually quite dry but massively malty. Very dark and charred barley flavors. Quite bitter as well. It's an austere and boozy big brew. From the 22 oz bottle purchased at Bine & Vine.

Drank with 1 Year 9 months age. Very nice BA stout. Chocolate notes with nice smooth barrel aged bourbon flavor.

Solid RIS. Pours mahogany. Smell is divine. Bourbon forward but not overwhelmed. Taste is roasty, peaty, sweet of bourbon is definitely balanced out by the roastiness and other barrel notes. Finish is much of the same with a bit of heat. Damn solid RIS (with a hint of bourbon thrown in).
