On tab at Handles in Pleasanton, CA on 1/25/2012.
A: Clear, golden color. Small head with tiny white bubbles. Very lager-like appearance.
S: Sweet, maybe a little grassy, smell.
T: Balanced sweetness and grassy hops. A bit candy-like but pleasant (and less candy-like than Orval, for example). Just a hint of fruitiness.
M: Light body, very drinkable.
O: Good saison, for an American brewery. Very drinkable and pleasant, albeit not too complex.

Color is golden. Almost completely clear.
Grassy hops. Sweet malt.
Sweet malt. Spicy. Slightly sour , dry finish.
Well carbonated, which creates a silky texture. Body a bit thin and watery.
Not a bad saison, though not overly complex either. Well, at least it's dry, which unfortunately is a rarity among other american interpretations of the style.

Pours a fairly clear golden color with a fluffy white head. A nice fruity, estery aroma. A bit of spice, mostly pepper, and yeast. Some bready malt and wheat, too. Sweet bread and a touch of sugar. Some light fruits like apples. A subtle spice flavor as well as yeast. Light to medium bodied with medium carbonation.
