I got a 32oz can of this at the Hy-Vee grocery store in Faribault, MN whilst up there for son's hockey camp at Shattuck. It poured a clear dark amber with white head that did not leave any lace. The scent had touch of roast and nut. The taste was nicely balanced and very easy to drink. There was a maple roast sweetness. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.

On tap into a shaker, pours a cola brown with reddish tint and a lacey surprisingly white 1 finger head with modest lacing. Bready and slightly sweet grainy malts followed by a little nutty note. Taste follows, though the nuttiness comes through stronger, especially at the end, and the breadiness is more faint. Minimal hop presence. Not much progression of flavor or layering, but fairly substantial body for the minimal abv. Finish is a little disappointing...just kind of meanders. Still, all in, a good brown!

Pours a nice dark brown. The head is fairly thick, and frothy. The nose is very minimal. The taste is somewhat nutty. It is somewhat mellow also. Interesting beer.

Exactly what I would want in a brown ale. Light caramel flavor forward, good color, great taste.
