L: brilliant amber gold with a light copper tint permeated by streams of rapidly rising bubbles under a 1" off-white cap with good retention
S: smells like rye with some hop dank, onion, garlic and citrus balanced by bread crust malt
T: flavors start mildly sweet with rye, citrus, fruit, melon and tropical fruit and have a drying finish with a medium high bitter finish
F: has a nice creamy rye texture, a medium body and medium carbonation
O: This is a good beer but the flavors get a little murky.

750ML crowler picked up fresh last week that, after having the IIPA, I’m all atwitter. I should atweet. Split with my wife, who doesn’t love the rye like I do. Does anyone?
I get what I’m now going to refer to as “crowler finger”, wet when I pop the top. Looks like a copper-tinged IPA. The nose is pine & a gentle breeze of earthy rye. Looking for the spiciness.
Redbird RyePA forced me to go google the “Redbird Polka” which, to my uneducated ears, sounds like every other polka every played (my parents said the same thing about my Wham! albums). Lovely rye spiciness greets the palate, backed up with moderate bitterness, graininess, a touch of Ivory Soap (man, I haven’t tasted that since saying “fuck you” to my mom when I was nine), lemon, with a finish that is pure pine. Biting & dry, but the pine is so fearsome, even in the aftertaste, that I might have trouble taking this big can solo. Maybe.
Another fine beer from this brewery. Since I have no idea where Montgomery is, I looked, & it’s 55 minutes from my house. Sounds like a road trip. Very good beer.

This beer pours a darker amber color. The head was off white, very frothy, and 2 finger.
The nose is strong with a pine aroma. I do detect a slight, very faint, sweet aroma also.
The taste starts out mellow up front, then the pine really hits hard, and doesn't let go. You feel it all the way down.
The feel is not watery at all, plus you feel the pine a long time.
Overall it's a delicious Rye IPA, and a good beer from this brewery.
