listed at 6.2% abv when i was in recently, maybe some batch variance to this, but a really nice pale ale, hoppy and bright, well refined, on the edge of ipa level hop intensity, but without the bitterness, well crafted for sure, arguably the better of the two beers i had in here, next to their hazy called chasing clouds, which is also nice. this is quite clear, lighter than expected, not an old school malty pale, this is golden beer, plenty of white head on it, and light both to look at and to drink. the aroma is juicy to me, orange and mango maybe, with some oils obvious, very fresh and punchy, some grassiness too, and a basic two row barley type pale malt on the grain side, neutral and clean ferment, simple really, but beautifully well hopped. it stays fruity in the flavor, and gets more and more tropical as it warms, papaya and subtle peach maybe, nuances of course, this isnt cloying despite a little mid palate sweetness and oil wash, weedy in a modern way, makes me wonder if there is a hop product in here, late pineapple, green tea, and only mild bitterness. its quick to drink, easy in body, and ever so slightly less carbonated than it could be, but fresh as heck, distinctive with the hop profile, and very repeatable. i sort of miss pale ale, nobody seems to be focusing on the style anymore in the ipa crazed world we live in, so this was a neat change of pace and the type of beer i hope comes around again a little bit in terms of popularity. good quality, well hopped, nicely refined, far better than its ratings here on BA...
