Had on tap at the new Hop Nut's taproom in the Tivoli area of Las Vegas, NV. This was a good looking and tasty beer. Belgian Golden is a very unusual style for a brewery's flagship and a sports team beer, and I give Hop Nuts kudos for that, but it is not an outstanding example of the style. It has a nutty flavor that is out of place, although not unpleasant. I also wish it had more Belgian yeast aromas and flavors.

16oz draft from Lazy Dog restaurant
Body is clear straw gold, white head with medium retention, light lacing
Aroma is sweet bread, some Carmelized crystal malts come through, very little hop character
Taste follows the nose closely, sort of a rye bite to the bread but mostly sweet biscuits
Mouthfeel is consistent but still light with the finish fading quickly
Overall not bad for a random try, I’m sure they nailed the style but imo it’s just a boring beer

Appearance: golden yellow in color with a 1/2" head that lingers around a while.
Smell: light yeast spiciness is detectable.
Taste: crackers, green grapes, golden apple, spicy yeast, and a moderate bitterness. Alcohol is warming here.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied. Crisp throughout but the finish is very dry.
Overall: a good version of a Belgian strong ale, probably named for the new NHL team in town - enjoyed this at Beerhaus before a Golden Knights game !
