Tried a lot of good stuff in the tasting room, but this was clearly the belle of the ball. The beer pour a solid gold color with good head retention and lacing. Both on the nose and the palate, there is a considerable rye whiskey aroma and flavor, and it seemed to play well with the light honey, honey wax, light hoppy bitterness and light vanilla. The beer was moderately sweet on the palate, but the finish was dry, rye infused and almost smokey. Alcohol was well integrated into the flavor profile.

Excellent beer. Very, very impressive.
