Purchased at Market of Choice in Ashland OR for $4.99 in a 22 oz. bomber
A - dark brown, partially translucent in proper lighting. Small but creamy white head with good retention
S - hazelnut, Nutella, brown sugar. Mild nose but enticing
T - follows the nose. Really expressive. Lots of brown sugar and hazelnut. Flavors that would normally seem cloying, but this beer is lighter in body than expected keeping the flavors refreshing and easy to come back to with each sip
F - light to medium body, light for a brown ale, but that's why I like this beer. It has high drink-ability for a beer with such sweet flavors.
O - Really tasty beer, not just a winter beer either. This could easily be enjoyed on a nice spring day.

Poured from 22oz bomber into a dimpled mug.
Appearance: rich, dark red-brown hue with minimal haze. Head is a massive cap of creamy, pillowy tan foam. I seriously dig it.
Smell: rich, nutty, chocolatey, caramelly and just a bit sweet. It's almost too much character for a brown ale, but I heartily enjoy it anyway.
Taste: quite sweet, nutty and chocolatey. Kind of like a nutella beer. It's a bit too sweet, but really, it's got a lot of great flavor.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. To be honest, I was expecting a little bit more based on the spectacular head, but it's still quite decent.
Overall: an interesting, flavorful beer, and quite drinkable despite its sweetness. Very good.

On tap in Sisters Oregon.
The body looks like dark male syrup.
Minimal head. Under-carbonated.
Loads of hazelnut aroma and flavor. Mildly bitter, despite some sweetness. and strongly nutty.

I'm not a big fan of the style (brown ales), and so assumed I would detest this beer. Guess again...
There's a lot going on in this beer, with the hazelnut flavor adding a nice component to the sweet malt of the brown ale. This beer also seemed to have a nice dollo of hops as well, which helped to counter the sweetness, and gave the beer some much needed grittiness in the finish.
Still not a big fan of the style, but this is the first brown ale I've enjoyed in some time, and damn if I can't see myself ordering this again someday. Impressive.
