We’re getting towards the end of the LIF box that Snaotheus sent me unfortunately, but I’ve been enjoying the beers he sent. I had one other beer from Ushitora in the box which I thought was solid, so I’m assuming this one will also be good. Let’s crack it open and find out if I’m right
Pours a mostly clear deep gold with 2 fingers of soapy white head that slowly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing
The nose shows a nice balance for being so light. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon zest, bready malt, grassy hops, sweet honey, lime zest, black pepper, and cereal grain
There’s less malty sweetness in taste but it’s still pretty good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting lemon zest, crackery malt, wildflower honey, white grape, grassy hops, white pepper, and lime zest. The swallow brings notes of lemon zest, crackery malt, raw grain, honey, grassy hops, white pepper, and white grape
A light body pairs with moderate carbonation, resulting in a crisp beer. Finishes neutral with a drying bitterness
This is solid all around. Could use a bit more balance but I can’t really complain

365ml can served in a footed pilsner glass. Can is stickered with something that says 23.02[Japanese character]18. Bought it at a liquor store in Utsunomiya, Japan last Monday (their time).
Pours a slightly hazy light yellow with a medium sized head that fades out pretty quickly, leaving a thick dusting and a very thick ring. Lots of active carbonation. Smell is lemons, bread dough, biscuits, grass, some more lemon.
Taste is bready and lemon, more on the doughy side, fairly sweet but not overwhelming, fairly mild overall.
Mouthfeel is thick but not heavy. Overall, pretty nice beer.
