20oz pour (on tap) served in a dimpled glass mug. Served at the brewery. The chalkboard on the wall listing the beers available (including this one) listed this beer at 21 IBU and 4.1% ABV.
Appearance: Cloudy light brown-amber color. Thin white head, with sheets of persistent lacing.
Smell: Yeasty, rye, a little herbal.
Taste: Quite tasty. Definite rye flavor and spiciness from start to finish, along with some underlying sweetness that is balanced with a light bitter (but sharp) finish.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, good thickness, has body that reminds me of a weizen-style beer, so a bit chewy.
Overall / Drinkability: There are aspects of this beer that remind me of a hefewiezen, but the wheat tang is completely replaced with rye and the beer is quite drinkable and very enjoyable. This went very well with a Reuben sandwich, and is definitely something I could see myself getting again, and maybe even in another 20oz pour.

16 ounce pint glass on-tap at Carillon earlier today, bought a pint after trying it as part of a flight sampler. The beer pours a slightly hazy reddish/amber color with about a 1/4 inch off-white head. Head didn't stick around for too long, and there's not much lacing. The brew smells like apple cider/vinegar, rye, white peppercorn and wheat. I thought the taste was pretty much the same as the aroma, but had some more kick. Did have a fruity tart twang to it, too. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's a bit slick and had a moderate amount of carbonation. I enjoyed it, it was a nice change of pace compared to what I usually drink. Definitely worth trying if you're ever at Carillon, I know I'd like to try it again!

Not especially familiar with this style. Carillon Brewery prides itself on using equipment, ingredients and recipes from mid-1800s. Appearance was not much. Chalky yellow unfiltered, zero head in pint glass. Flavor is high rye, with apple cider and vinegar notes. Light carbonation. Good mouth feel, bready middle flavor, bitter but not hoppy finish. Great with hearty German food. Will try again.
