12oz can $3.99. Dark red color, ok head. Aroma is malty and sweet smelling. Flavor is also sweet, raisin, lots and lost of booze. This seemed more like a barleywine to me and not hoppy enough for an imperial red.

12 oz can. Pours slightly hazy dark red with a big creamy light tan head that retains well and laces the glass.
The aroma is sweet cola and chocolate malts with some pine.
The flavor is sweet nutty caramel malt with a huge piney hop finish that is slightly harsh with a bit of alcohol. The mouthfeel is medium to full bodied with smooth carbonation.
Overall, a nice imperial red. It's a little sweet and the flavors are all a bit brash without playing nicely together.

F&G cranks out some exceptional brews, especially with the Imperial RED. I was disappointed at first with the switch from 6- to 4-pack, until I realized this dropped the price per ounce by 60ยข. Sold. Deep caramel tones open up for a crisp hop finish. Medium and medium-light body lend the perfect platform for the flavor of this beer. This is my go-to beer for a Friday-night pickup from the store. Keep up the good work F&G!

Pours red with a dirty cream colored head. Aroma is heavily malty (as expected) showing off caramel and candied cherry with some earthy hops along for the ride. Alcohol is well hidden. Flavor follows suit. Medium bodied, some activity. Overall, decent Imperial Red Ale here but nothing that will have me rushing back for seconds.
