Can from Beer Drop. No dating.

Pours a hazy rusty orange colour, small but persistent head of foam.

Smell is of citrus, mostly oranges, has some bitterness, little bit of a suggestion of tropical fruit.

Taste is mostly tropical fruit, pineapple, orange peel, more dankness than bitterness. Not much that I can describe as malty. 4.5% abv explains that.

Pretty good mouthfeel for that abv.

Interesting but not fascinating.

probably the highlight from our visit here, but all the beer was good. they didnt have as many unexpected or taproom only offerings as i hoped they would, but this was the new one for me, and i liked it a lot. its a great showcase of this el dorado hop in a very simple base pale ale context. it has a little color to it, not just straight pale, but the grain stands to balance a very robust el dorado hop profile, such an awesome hop when used like this! there is a richness here, a west coast oiliness despite an obviously significant dry hopping, its aromatic as it is flavorful, pineapple, honey oil, papaya, meyer lemon, candied orange rind, and lemongrass, fresh and springy but still sturdy from the grain. bitterness is appropriately moderate, there is a honey sweetness that rises up late to balance it, and rushing carbonation lightens the fuller medium body. its drinkable and flavorful and professionally done and a cool use of these hops, which can easily go either way in my experience. perhaps the highlight of our visit here, at least for me...
