Picked up a single from the Craft Beer Hop Stop 1-9-20 for $3.99. Canned 12-30-19; consumed 4-15-20. Cold stored since purchase.
Beer poured copper with a pretty good white head that has a residual ring around the edge.
Nose is carmelized malts but not any dark fruits from the yeast that i would expect from the style.
Taste is very biscuity, come across like a Belgian Dubbel except it is lacking the yeast esters. Finishes balanced.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and lacking the smoothness i would expect for the style.
Overall this does not come across like the world class quads i love. Not a bad beer as it is well balanced, but do not expect a true quad.
