This is a stand alone building with large open windows that lead into outdoor seating. Definite warehouse feel here. Lots of TVs, and a t shirt and gift selection by the front door. Large U shaped bar can seat about 20. There were 14 drafts on during my visit, and the two I had were of good quality. Bartenders were a bit gabby with each other, but were attentive. Definitely worth a visit.

Solid place; one of those spots worth going to if local but not one to go out of your way for. Feels more like a pub that brews their own beer than a brewery. Full bar, full restaurant, and a nice large and varied beer menu. 97% of the patrons were eating a meal there, so the restaurant aspect is a big focus here. Lots of tvs with sports going, which worked for me. Beer quality was totally respectable but nothing special either. I'd drink their again but I would never go out of my way for this place either. Loved the variety of and quantity of options available though. Service was adequate, they did their job and nothing more....but also nothing less. Didn't try the food, so cant comment on it. Overall, would return to based on convenience, selection, and fact that their beers were largely solid.

Very cool, industrial atmosphere with concrete bar. Opens to outside. Sitting at the bar however I wish the bartenders were more social with patrons rather than themselves.

I've tried a decent amount of their beers and have yet to be disappointed. All well above average from their brown ale & stout to their IPA's (sessions and doubles too). All of the high alcohol beers I've tried (8% and up) have been really well balanced and loaded with flavor- Their Mogollon Monster Double IPA & Their Dank IPA were awesome. Their guest taps are always interesting as well.
Their food is also great and during happy hour you can load up on some great appetizers while still getting a full portion (brussel sprouts are great!). There are multiple TV's around the place and a foosball table right next to the bar that's always a good time.

Great place to grab a beer and pub food. SBC seems to keep a decent amount of their own beer on tap and will say that these guys have been pumping out WELL above average beer since inception. Don't know anything about their brewers but I'm usually finding myself wishing I could make it up more often to sample some new brews (especially their hoppy ales).

Another quality addition to the Scottsdale beer scene. A big, wide open space with a large, deep rectangular bar. Plenty of space for me to do some work while having lunch.
Beer selection was extensive and solid all around. I just missed the Dank triple IPA here which was a bit of a bummer but all of the beers were well made. Some nice guest taps to round out the lineup.
Service was a bit casual but it was a weekday lunch time so perhaps to be expected. MY sandwich was very tasty.
I enjoyed this place and will stop back.

Nice place, been here a few times, a bit loud and impersonal, but the barkeeps are will and able to make eye contact and give comment on their favorite beers.

SBC has put together an excellent all-around experience. Both the beer and the food are excellent. The service is top notch. The selection of guest beers is solid. This is a place worthy of your afternoon or evening. The owners and head brewer are very approachable, and I must admit quite patient for those of us who have had a few. I have been to most of the brewpubs in the Phoenix valley. While my favorite location is probably the patio of the Four Peaks 8th Street facility, considering the entire experience, including the beer, the food, and the people, I have found none better than SBC.

Visited here with Da Boss yesterday for lunch.
Vibe was OK. The building SBC is housed in is a funky design. Once inside it was open and spacious with large windows permitting a nice view of the fermentation tanks. Two of the brewers were at work that day and it appeared they were enjoying themselves. There was seating for maybe 150 inside plus maybe 50 outside. There was a centralized bar with seating for maybe 20 around it.
Quality of the house and guest beers was pretty darn good. They had The Abyss, a couple of Odell, and Grapefruit Sculpin available which I would have loved to have but the mission was to check out the SBC beers and food. The SBC has a number of high octane beers so obviously the brewers are brewing for themselves which is cool. Dank Triple IPA was good and the Forty-Eight State IPA was pretty good.
Service was good, quick and responsive. We did get there right at 11:00 which helped I am sure. It did get to maybe 2/3 full but the server did a nice job and kept up well.
Selection of Food and Beer was good. I want to say they had 8 house and 8 guest taps.
Food Menu had a decent variety of things to choose from.
Food was good. I thought the fries I had were definitely the best I have had were maybe 2nd best only to Arizona Wilderness' Duck fat fries. The Pulled Pork sandwich was solid. Da Boss had the Fish and Chips and Fish was well made IHO.
Overall a pretty solid place, will return when the opportunity presents itself but it is probably 25 miles from my house so it is not overly convenient to get there. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed.
