Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the Leute Bokbier glass. Substantial body and spritzy on the tongue. Quite malty but the hops make their presence known. Bitter and woody with a quite modest bit of aromatics. Smells of leaf mold and alfalfa, with even a musty note. Taste is leafy and green tea, with grapefruit peel and bark.
All in all, it's an austere erformance followed by a rather bitter aftertaste. In fact it's so much like a Red/amber ale with that abrasive hoppy excess. From the 16 oz can purchased at Bine y Vine. No date.
