Pours black. Aroma is a little muted but it smells like coffee, dark bread, and dark chocolate. Taste is dark chocolate, dark bread, char, and some bitter hops on the finish. Feel is chewy for the ABV but it still drinks easily. Overall, a really nice American stout.
